Player Eligibility
1. All players must be 18 year of age, with the exception of 2 players under the age of 18 but not younger than 16 at the start of the playing year.

2. No players will be allowed to play in the Sturgeon Ladies Fastball League if they are registered in any other divisional league.3. Only players registered on the team roster and who play a minimum of 3 league games are eligible to play in the tournament.League Play1. League rules will have priority over any C.A.S.A. rules.2. C.A.S.A. Rules will be in effect for all other instances.3. Measurements:
60 ft for all base lines40 ft from pitcher’s mound to home plate4. The plate Umpire will be provided by the home team, base Umpire will be provided by the visiting team. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT THE TEAMS PROVIDE KNOWLEDGABLE UMPIRES.5. Out of play lines will be specified before all games start. This will be done with the umpire and both coaches.6. Home teams will supply at least one new ball per game.7. Home teams shall have last bat.8. All games start at 7:00 PM, with a 20 minute grace period for visiting teams.9. If a team is short players, they may start the game with less than 9 players but a minimum of 7 , and may enter the remaining players upon arriving. Missing players will be an automatic out in the batting order.10. A player must play field first, prior to batting in that inning, except an injured player. No designated hitters and no pinch hitting.11. Substitute runner due to injury with a maximum of 3 per game. A courtesy runner may also be used for the catcher with 2 out, no limit. The runner must start at the last base occupied and be the last batter out.12. The pitcher must present the ball to the umpire before pitching.13. Infield fly rule applies. With less than two outs, an infield fly is an automatic out if 1st and 2nd bases are occupied, or if 1st, 2nd and 3rd are occupied.14. A maximum of 7 runs can be scored per inning, except the 7th inning which is open. There is no mercy rule.15. After 4 complete innings, if the game is rained out, the team winning at that time will be awarded the win.16. In case of a cancellation, home teams must contact away teams by 5:00 PM.17. All scores should be called in by each Friday and by 11:00 PM on the Wednesday before the final tournament. If she is unavailable, leave a message.18. The winning team of each game will be required to contact Colleen Allison by email preferably or phone at cjallison@telus.net, 961-2237 with the results of the game before the end of the week and the results will be recorded as follows:Win - 2 PointsLoss - 0 PointsTie - 1 Point19. To break possible ties and to determine winners, should team tie during league play a coin toss, best of 3, will be sued to determine the final standings.Equipment1. Any type of glove or mitt is accepted.2. All players must wear suitable footwear. No metal cleats are allowed.3. Wearing Helmets while batting, base running and on deck batting is mandatory4. Back catchers must wear protective equipment.5. Dudley Core 47 balls are required for league play.Protests1. Protest Procedures - For a protest each team will have 1 representative excluding the protesting teams.
