Tournament Rules
Player Eligibility
1. Only players registered on the team roster and who play a minimum of TWO league game are eligible to play in the tournament.
Tournament Play
1. Tournament Rules will have priority over any C.A.S.A Rules.
2. Diamond measurements: 60 feet for all base lines, 40 feet for pitching mound.
3. All games will start on time. The umpires and coaches will verify the start time. The start time will be recorded on the score sheet of each team.
4. A flip of the coin will determine the Home team.
5. There will be a 5 minute grace period. After that time the umpire will start the game.
6. If a team is short players, they may start the game with less than 9 players, and may enter the remaining players upon arrival. Missing players will be an automatic out in the batting order.
7. After 4 complete innings, if the game is rained out, the team that is winning at that time shall be awarded the game.
8. A minimum of 5 full innings or the required time limit must be played, the last inning must be announced before the start of the final inning.
9. A player must play in the field first, prior to batting that inning except in the case of an injured player. No designated hitters or pinch hitters. Unlimited defensive substitutions are allowed, any player, any position.
10. Substitute runner, due to injury with a maximum of 3 per game. A courtesy runner may also be used for the catcher with 2 out, no limit. The rummer must start at the last base occupied and be the last batter out.
11. The 7 run per inning rule does apply, with the final inning being open.
12. The umpire’s decision is final.
13. No pregnant women are allowed to play in the final tournament.
Equipment
1. Any type of glove or mitt is accepted.
2. All players must wear suitable footwear. No metal cleats are allowed.
3. Wearing Batting Helmets is mandatory.
4. Back catchers must wear protective equipment.
5. Dudley Core 47 balls will be used.
Protests
1. Protest Procedures - For a protest each team will have 1 representative excluding the protesting teams. A vote will be made on the protest after one member from the protesting team has explained the situation and then left.
